The Phoenix Historic Districts Coalition
was founded to preserve the past and
protect the future of our Historic Districts
and the city's many historic residential,
commercial and institutional buildings.
|

|
As
of 2003, Phoenix has 35 wonderful Historic Districts containing over
7,000 homes. The Coalition
is an all-volunteer organization made up of residents from all of the
Historic Districts as well as many other individuals who are dedicated
to historic preservation in Phoenix.
We work together to ...
- Create an awareness
of the importance and value of preserving Phoenix' colorful, rich heritage.
- Share current information
on events affecting historic areas
- Establish and maintain
a strong community voice promoting the preservation of historic communities,
structures and their surroundings.
Award winning
In 2000 the Coalition was awarded a "Arizona Heritage Preservation
Honor Award" for the publication and distribution of nearly 30,000
copies of the "Historic Districts of Phoenix
Self-Guided Driving Tour Map". (Click
